Introduction to ISO/TC 68/SC 2 Financial Services, Security

The Chair-Elect of ISO/TC 68/SC 2 Financial Services, Security and other SC 2 leaders will provide an overview of SC 2, including its areas of focus, processes and direction. This webinar is the fourth of four webinars that aim to introduce Technical Committee 68 (TC 68) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) – including its subcommittees (SCs), processes and direction – to the Ukrainian financial community. ISO/TC 68 Financial Services develops and maintains international standards in the field of banking, securities and other financial services.

Lauren Jones

Chair-Elect, ISO/TC 68/SC 2 Financial Services.

Security Open Banking Exchange

Lauren Jones has been working in standardisation in the financial services industry for 15 years. She has served as Head of Delegation to various ISO/TC 68 committees, as well as in the European Payments Council, European Central Bank and other standards bodies.

Ms. Jones has broad sector knowledge, including, but not limited to, payments, identity, open finance and financial messaging. She has worked in various roles, including Head of Standards at Payments UK (now Pay.UK), as well as in consultancy and advisory capacities for market infrastructures, fintechs and telcos. Presently, she is Director at Open Banking Exchange, where she has launched a financial services and security innovation lab for a large telco, with more than 20 industry players.

Tony Seymour

Convenor, ISO/TC 68/SC 2/WG 8 Public Key Infrastructure Management for Financial Services.

AM Seymour Consulting

Tony Seymour is a senior consultant with significant experience in risk management, computer security, communications and financial applications (BACS). He successfully managed a security function and project managed within both the public and private sectors. Mr. Seymour has strong industry knowledge of risk management, business continuity, identity management, biometrics and digital certificates. He has developed policies and ISO PKI security financial standards, and he has been involved in accrediting to WebTrust (PKI) and ISO/IEC 27001.

Richard Kisley

Convenor, ISO/TC 68/SC 2/WG 11 Encryption Algorithms Used in Financial Applications

IBM

Richard Kisley is a Senior Technical Staff Member with the Cryptographic Technology Development Department for Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) of IBM Systems Group. He led the HSM program to its first PCI HSM certification in July 2018.

Mr. Kisley is an advocate for financial services standards and compliance awareness within IBM, and has been working with PCI since 2015, becoming the IBM PO primary contact in 2017. In 2018, he became the IBM primary contact to Accredited Standards Committee X9 (ASC X9) focused on security in retail banking and payments and, in 2019, he joined ISO/TC 68/SC 2 as part of the U.S. TAG from ASC X9, assisting with updates to ISO 11568 and ISO 13491. Mr. Kisley was assistant technical editor for ANSI X9 TR-31-2018 and was the technical editor for ANS X9.143. He is part of the X9-PCI mirror group assisting with PCI PIN and QPA program coordination.

Mr. Kisley joined the IBM HSM team in 2005 after spending 2001-2005 with IBM Systems Storage.

Lorenzo Gaston Guirao

Convenor, ISO/TC 68/SC 2/WG 16 Security Aspects Related to Third Party Payment Service Providers.

Thales Group

Lorenzo Gaston Guirao is responsible for Financial Standards in Thales DIS and also Technical Director of the Smart Payment Association.

Lorenzo is a member of the European Payments Stakeholders Group (Standards SEPA for Cards) where he has the role of spokesperson of the Vendors Sector since 2009.

He has been Chair of e-Europe Smart Card Charter TB7 Multi-applicative Cards and systems (2000- 2004), of CEN TC224 WG15 European Citizen Card (2006-2012) and is currently Chair of the Innovation Expert Team of the European Payments Stakeholders Group (2015-).

Other positions held by Lorenzo were as Convenor of the Technical WG of the Mobile Proxy Forum ( Mobile P2P payments- 2017), guest member of the European Open Bank API Evaluation WG (2018).

Edward Scheidt

Convenor, ISO/TC 68/SC 2/WG 17 Security Aspects of Digital Currencies.

Edward Scheidt has extensive standards experience working with U.S. x9, ISO, and ITU programs. USA.

Yuri Vlasenko
Executive Director of UkrSWIFT
Ukrainian SWIFT User Group Chairman

Yuri Vlasenko is a founder and leader of the Ukrainian SWIFT User Group. Mr. Vlasenko has extensive experience in banking, especially in creating and supervising banking and corporate treasury operations divisions, payments and securities.  He has held executive positions in the Ukrainian Currency Exchange and the National Depository of Ukraine.  He has managed government and corporate eurobond issues, and he has founded and managed asset management and brokerage companies in the Ukraine.

Mr. Vlasenko has a PhD in applied mathematics from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in banking and finance from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
